In besides numerous conference papers in highly ranked conference series such as European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021 (in total more than 20 papers by Prof. Teuteberg since the beginning of the ECIS Conference), International Conference on Information Systems (WI) (Prof. Teuteberg is one of the world's 20 most prolific authors (measured by the number of published papers) since the beginning of the WI Conference in 1993), ICIS 2009, ICIS 2013, ICIS 2014, ICIS 2018, ICIS 2019 (all A-rankings according to WKWI; ICIS Proceedings TOP 5 publication subranking Business Informatics, VHBJourqual2) and numerous German-language journal publications, a large number of papers in particular have also been published in international journals in recent years. The articles were reviewed double-blind by usually three external reviewers, went through several revisions in some cases and were finally accepted for publication with journal acceptance rates of 10 to 30 %.

Prof. Dr. Frank Teuteberg is one of the top 1% of the most research-intensive academics in business administration in the area of Germany, Austria, Switzerland

Prof. Teuteberg is among the top 1% of the most research-intensive scientists in business administration and among the top 10 of the most research-intensive business informatics professors (in Lower Saxony, Prof. Teuteberg is the most research-intensive business informatics professor) according to the WirtschaftsWoche ranking. This ranking is based on an analysis of the scientific publications from 2014 to 2018 of more than 2,500 scientists in business administration in Germany, Austria and Switzerland using the VHB-Jourqual3 journal rating (more than 850 scientific journals) of the Association of University Teachers of Business Administration (VHB) by researchers from ETH Zurich and the University of Düsseldorf for WirtschaftsWoche. With 21st place in this five-year ranking, Prof. Teuteberg is also among the top 10 most research-intensive business informatics professors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In another ranking of the scientific life's work, which included the publication data of 3390 scientists in business studies, Prof. Teuteberg is already among the top 2 % (source: WirtschaftsWoche, issue 4 of 18.01.2019).

A small selection from the research areas Industry 4.0, Human-Technology Interaction, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Digital Preservation, Green IS, Green Logistics, Life Cycle Impact Modelling, Sustainability Reporting and Semantic Process Benchmarking is shown in the following selection. The large number of accepted assumptions of research contributions illustrates the high quality, rigour and relevance of research at the Department of Management Accounting and Information Systems (Prof. Teuteberg). Some of the contributions received a best paper nomination or are among the "most requested" contributions in the respective journals (measured by the number of "full text downloads").
