Research Profile

Four Information Systems chairs work hand in hand at Osnabrück University’s Institute of Information Management and Information Systems Engineering (IMU). IMU is further enhanced by an honorary professorship for International and Intercultural Management. The Institute is part of the University’s School of Business Administration and Economics.

The aim of IMU is to develop holistic information management solutions and to ensure their continual transfer to practice. This is achieved by conducting interdisciplinary, integrated, application-oriented and practice-relevant research and teaching at the levels: basics, methods and applications.

Osnabrück’s intensive degree programs culminating in a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Information Systems are organized by IMU. These are the only intensive Information Systems degree programs in the whole of Germany. Students can gain a Master of Science degree in just 4 years and 3 months.
