description

What makes Google, Facebook & Co. successful?

After completing this course, participants can identify gaps in service portfolios of existing business models by enriching them with digital and data-driven innovations. Data-driven innovation and its design have become more relevant and important. Because of our digitalized world, it is not only about offering a single product to customers, but also about offering enhancements of products to them, which are not infrequently shaped by data. The role of data is changing the nature of services and is altering their technical role and importance. Offering a combination of products and data-driven services, the so-called "servitization", offers companies the opportunity to open new markets to reach out to new customer groups, to bind the customer closer to them, and to differentiate themselves from competitors through individual offers.

In this course, participants will, learn about the state-of-the-art of research regarding the digital transformation of services. Therefore, this course will discuss different ways, methods, and possibilities of developing, managing and designing digital, data-driven services in combination with examples from practice. Additionally, as a part of this course, participants will learn about data, big data and technical factors that drive the development of data-driven digital services. The course will be used to develop input for a chatbot prototyp beginning by clarifying a problem and idea to developing a prototype at the end.
