Application for Bachelor's Program

Competences in German and English have to be proven for admission. In this context, German language skills at the level “DSH II” are required.  For the proof of English language skills, an Academic IELTS test with the result of at least 6.0 is required. The test can be omitted if the applicant’s native language is English or if a full Bachelor’s program was completed in English.

Applicants with German certificates or certificates from other EU Member States

Applicants with German certificates or certificates from other EU Member States (university entrance qualification) can apply directly at Osnabrück University. In this context, it might be necessary to register on www.hochschulstart.de.

Registration on www.hochschulstart.de
Osnabrück University participates in the “Dialogorientierten Serviceverfahren der Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung, DoSV" (dialogue orientated service procedure of the foundation for university admission). Within the School of Business Administration and Economics the Bachelor’s programs “Business Adminstration and Economics” and “Information Systems” are part of this procedure.

Applicants who would like to apply for one of these two programs need to register on www.hochschulstart.de before applying at Osnabrück University. When registering, an application ID is assigned. The application itself takes place via the application portal of Osnabrück University where applicants state their application ID. Approval offerings need to be accepted only at www.hochschulstart.de. Please note that approval offerings are subject to the regulations of DoSV.

Application at Osnabrück University:
The first step is to apply online. Afterwards, the completed forms need to be printed and complemented by the required attachments. All documents have to be sent to the Admissions Office of Osnabrück University. Please note that all documents have to be present by the closing date. In this context, not the date of the postmark but the date of receipt at the university is decisive.
