03. Juli 2020 : Lecture "Economics of Banking" in the winter semester 2020/2021

The lecture "Economics of Banking" will be offered again in the winter semester 2020/2021. This lecture will take place in English.

This course gives an introduction to the functioning of financial institutions, financial markets and the international financial and monetary system. We will approach these topics from a microeconomic, macroeconomic and management point of view. To do so, we will inspect the institutional framework in which financial institutions operate, the theoretical backing for the existence of financial institutions, and how they work in reality.
