11. September 2016 : Journal paper accepted for publication in the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing (JBIM)

"Understanding and Assessing Crowd Logistics Business Models - Using Everyday People for Last Mile Delivery" by Volker Frehe, Jens Mehmann and Frank Teuteberg has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing (JBIM).

Traditional services such as transport logistics are nowadays increasingly outsourced to everyday people. This concept, called crowd logistics, is analyzed in the paper by Mr. Frehe, Mehmann and Teuteberg. For the science community research gaps are uncovered. For practice a business model is developed based on best practices. Furthermore, recommendations for the sustainable implementation of new services are provided.

We thank the (anonymous) practice partners for cooperation with regard to the expert interviews.

The journal is currently classified as a C-rated journal according to the VHB Jourqual3 ranking.
Moreover, the journal (having an H Index of 48) is ranked 66th out of 332 in the category of "Business and International Marketing" and 48th out of 153 in the category of "Marketing" according to the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR).
The journal’s Impact Factor for the year 2014 was 0.973 (Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Reports, 2015)
