12. June 2025 : Members of the Environmental Economics Group at the REECAP Conference in Leipzig

From June 2 to 5, the seventh annual meeting of the REECAP network (Research Network on Economic Experiments for the Common Agricultural Policy) took place at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) in Leipzig. Marieke Baaken, Moritz Fritschle, and Thomas Rellensmann participated on behalf of the Environmental Economics Group.

The conference focused on the exchange of current research in experimental and behavioural agricultural economics. Topics included the Common Agricultural Policy, biodiversity in agricultural landscapes, and policy interventions along food systems. In addition to keynote speeches by Ulf Liebe and Sven Anders, the programme featured workshops on choice experiments and living labs, as well as an excursion to the experimental research station in Bad Lauchstädt.

Moritz Fritschle and Thomas Rellensmann presented results from the FRAMEwork project on applying a farmer identity framework to explain preferences for agri-environmental contracts, as well as on the validity of economic experiments to inform agri-environmental policy.
