Around 200 scientists met this year at the University of Cambridge in St. John's College in the UK to take part in the annual conference of the Biodiversity and Economics for Conservation (BIOECON) network. Marieke Baaken, Moritz Fritschle and Thomas Rellensmann each represented the Department of Environmental Economics with conference presentations.

At BIOECON, the focus was on the exchange of current research in environmental economics. The program was framed by keynote speeches by Professor Anne-Sophie Crepin (The Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics) and Professor Cameron Hepburn (University of Oxford).
