28. July 2023 : Student project presentation at the "Smart Farming Days" 2023

Marieke Baaken from the Department of Environmental Economics visits the Smart Farming Fair in Bohmte, Germany.

From 14.06-16.06.23, numerous experts from industry and science met at the networking event for agriculture to exchange ideas on smart farming topics of tomorrow. The innovative Smart Farming Fair took place at Gut Arenshorst in Bohmte located in the Osnabrück area, where smart farming solutions were presented by around 50 exhibitors. At the same time, lectures, workshops, expert forums and live demos were held on a wide range of smart farming topics and innovative, digitally based agricultural solutions.

Among others, the Start-Up AgraCheck was present, for which the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC) of the Münster University of Applied Sciences carried out a student project in the summer semester 2023. AgraCheck is a smart farming platform and lists online products and solutions from all manufacturers and suppliers with details of different product parameters. Within the project, the Bachelor's and Master's students developed a sustainable business model for the future based on the development of an effective marketing strategy and a promising internationalisation concept. Marieke Baaken is a member of the advisory board of AgraCheck and initiated the exchange between AgraCheck and the S2BMRC and gave the students helpful feedback for their project and presentation. The final results were very well received and positively commented by the AgraCheck founders.
