The department undertakes ongoing research projects on current issues being dealt with in academic theory and practice. Research at the Department of Accounting and Information Systems is both design and empirically oriented, with a focus on conceptual issues (design science, reference modelling) and experiment (simulations, experimental laboratory).

Research in Teaching / Projects with Companies
Projects are carried out in cooperation with companies. The department's research areas are closely linked to the offered academic programs, in order to achieve appropriate synergetic effects: New insights from innovative research continually enter into the teaching. As part of the project seminars, students are also involved in joint projects with companies in the transfer of research.
